Passion & Community

My passion is to enrich my students through passion and the love of music. It brings me tremendous joy to help students exceed their music goals through music appreciation and development.

I also am committed to my community and have a passion for contributing to charitable causes.

Piano Labs

I also set up and teach Piano Labs in the Palm Springs Unified School District for the Steinway Society of Riverside County, a non profit who's goal is to bring music back into the public school system and to children who cannot otherwise financially afford it. I have served close to 600 students spread across various schools in the desert over the past 5 years.

Charities

I have helped raise funds through music for Songshine Foundation, Opera Arts Palm Springs. Pegasus Therapeutic Riding, Coachella Valley Repertoire Theater, Marquee Academy of Performing Arts, Jewish Federation of the Desert, and the Steinway Society of Riverside County. I have also had the great privilege of performing in many classical music outreach concerts in schools across the Coachella Valley and appeared in salon concert fundraisers for various non profit organizations in the Desert.

Biography

My love for piano blossomed since childhood, beginning as a little girl when I watched my older siblings during lessons I was amazed (by) how one instrument could produce such beautiful sounds. It was the music that inspired me to follow in my brother's footsteps and learn piano. With much excitement and anticipation, I finally began my piano studies at the age of eight.

I was accepted and received a full scholarship to attend the University of Redlands as a piano performance major with an emphasis on pedagogy.

I have had the honor of studying under highly accomplished and widely recognized teachers such as James McCormick, who has taught alongside world-renowned John Perry and James Bonn of the U.S.C. He was the first pianist there to receive both the "Leo Podolsky Performance Prize" and the "June Davison Pedagogy Award". I was also a student of Louanne Fuchs Long, Artist Professor of piano at the University of Redlands. She has produced many international prize-winning students.

I have enjoyed performing and competing across Southern California.

My accomplishments include the Henneke's Scholarship Best Instrumentalist in the prestigious "Open Call" at the McCallum Theater, the Steinway Society of Riverside County Festival Winner in both junior and senior divisions, the grand prize winner of the California Rotary music competition, and a Redlands Bowl young artist winner. I was also nominated for a Desert Theater League award for performing in the Musical Chairs Concert Series "I Love a Piano".
